S-Track
Vela SBS introduces the most advanced, complete solution for the design and fabrication of lightweight steel frame buildings for residential, multi-storey blocks, commercial and retail applications. The quality of construction in most cases is superior to conventionally built buildings and the insulated steel framed buildings have greater energy efficiency. Vela SBS’s lightweight steel buildings can be designed up to 4 storeys before heavier structural steel or concrete columns need to be introduced.
Vela SBS has developed a unique walling solution for retail and commercial applications, for both external and internal applications. The S-Track system enables a rapid erection of wall panels which results in a shorter build programme and reduced overheads. The S-Track system allows engineers to reduce the foundation and piling requirements as the steel structures are much lighter than conventional brick and mortar.
S-Track Design & Manufacturing:
Vela SBS’s advanced CAD/CAM software technology and structural analysis capabilities enable our in-house designers to create and detail a high volume of residential and commercial buildings in light-steel, from single family homes to multi-storey developments, mini-factories, offices, schools, etc. Vela’s software produces all the necessary data, drawings and instructions required to efficiently and cost effectively manufacture each structure completely out of lightweight steel.
S-Track Assembly:
All components are numbered during the manufacturing process. The various components including the vertical studs, top and bottom tracks and intermediate noggins interlock with self-locating dimples before the screws are fixed in place.
S-Track Transport:
The wall panels are designed for easy handling and transportation. Components can be containerised and transported over long distances and assembled on site.
S-Track On-site Erection:
The lightweight steel frame wall panels are numbered individually and must be fixed in position with anchor bolts to the foundation according to the layout drawing provided. Adjoining or abutting panels are screw fixed to one another.
